Ingredients:
1Kg flour
100g almonds
1 cup of sugar
50g yeast
Aniseed/Anise
2 cups of water
1 cup of oil
Preparation:
Boil a cup of water with anise or aniseed. Strain and pour the water into bowl to which we add the sugar and the oil. In another cup dissolve the yeast in warm water and together with the flour pour into a bowl. Mix it well and allow to rest. When the dough has doubled in volume, make it into balls and place these on greaseproof paper on an oven tray. Press the almonds (shelled but not peeled) lightly into the dough balls, cover with a tea towel. When the dough has risen again, bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 120°C.
